Small loach breeding technology

Small loach breeding technology

Small loach is a seafood that many people like to eat. Its meat is delicious and tender and has high nutritional value. It is very popular among farmers because of its diverse diet, wide feed sources and easy breeding. Here are some techniques for breeding small loaches .

1. Construction of breeding pond

The loach breeding pond should not be too large. A breeding pond with an area of 100 square meters should be built, and the water depth should be maintained at 50-60 centimeters. In addition, anti-escape facilities must be installed at the water injection and drainage outlets and side walls of the breeding pond to prevent loaches from escaping. Before stocking, the breeding pond is thoroughly disinfected and fertilized, and planktonic bait organisms are cultivated for the fish to eat after they are put into the pond.

2. Stocking of seedlings

The stocking density of loach fry should be 800 to 1000, and it can be increased appropriately if there are micro-flowing water conditions. Note that loach seedlings of the same batch and consistent specifications should be stocked in the same pond to ensure balanced growth of the loach seedlings and to improve the survival rate.

3. Feeding

Loaches generally feed at night, but can also feed during the day during their growth period. They should be fed mainly at night. Each breeding pond can be equipped with two feeding tables to tame loaches for feeding. The number of times of feeding depends on the current situation. When the water temperature is between 15 and 20℃, feed once a day; when it is between 25 and 30℃, feed once in the morning and evening; when it exceeds 30℃, feed once a day. The best amount of feed is that the feed is eaten within 1 hour.

4. Water quality management

Apply fertilizers appropriately according to the water quality and fertility, control the transparency of the pool water at 15-20cm, and the water color should be yellow-green. When the water temperature reaches 30℃, the pond water should be changed frequently and the water depth should be increased; when loaches often swim to the water surface and float to "swallow air", it indicates that there is a lack of oxygen in the water, and fertilization should be stopped and new water should be injected. In winter, the depth of the pond water should be increased, and cow dung, pig dung and other manure can be applied to the corners of the pond to raise the water temperature and ensure the safe wintering of loaches.

5. Daily management

Strengthen daily management, patrol the pond every morning, and observe whether there are any floating fish. If dead loaches are found, find out the cause in time and take appropriate treatment measures.

6. Fishing

Place the fishing gear at the water inlet and then release water into the pool. Loaches are stimulated by flowing water and gather near water inlets. At this time, pull up the pre-set net and catch the loach.
