If you want your flowers to spend the Spring Festival safely, you must do these 5 things

Water less

I believe all flower lovers should understand this point. Plants are in a dormant or semi-dormant state in winter and do not need much water. If you water them too much and the temperature is low, there is a risk of frostbite.

However, if the temperature at home can exceed 20 degrees, then normal maintenance will be sufficient. It is best to do it within 3 to 4 hours around noon, and the water temperature should be kept basically consistent with the air temperature and soil temperature to avoid adverse reactions in potted flowers due to low water temperature.

Get more sun

In winter, people mostly keep plants indoors, and there is insufficient light, so you must place the flower pots in a place with sufficient light as much as possible, especially for plants that are in the flowering period, such as Kalanchoe, Camellia, Clivia, etc. If there is insufficient light, they may not bloom.

For some indoor foliage plants or plants in a dormant period, just place them in a place with scattered light.

Guaranteed temperature

If there is no heating or air conditioning at home, be sure to insulate the plants. You can cover the flowerpot with a plastic bag, tie it tightly, and poke a few holes in the plastic bag to allow for ventilation. This will provide a certain degree of insulation.

Cleaning leaves

Windows are opened less frequently in winter, ventilation is poor, and plant leaves are easily covered with a layer of dust, which affects the photosynthesis of the leaves. Of course, the plants will not grow well, so flower lovers must clean the dust on the leaves regularly. Flower lovers can use spray to clean the dust on the leaves, or they can wipe them gently with a soft cloth, being careful not to damage the leaves.

Increase humidity

If there are heating equipment such as floor heating at home, the air will easily become dry. For some flowers that like warm and humid conditions, this will cause their tips to dry out and lose water. Therefore, Huahua recommends that you frequently spray water on the leaves or around the plants, which can increase the air humidity and promote the healthy growth of the plants.

Dear flower lovers, I will introduce you to Huahua here.
