How to grow the succulent plant Queen's Flower Hat

How to grow the succulent plant Queen's Flower Hat

Maintenance methods

Habits

The Queen's Hat prefers a warm, dry and sunny environment. It can tolerate semi-shady and arid environments but not cold-resistant. It is afraid of excessive humidity and strong light environments. Its flowers are red and it has no obvious dormancy period.

temperature

The suitable temperature for growth is 18℃-25℃, and the winter growth temperature should be above 10℃.

soil

It is advisable to choose fertile, loose and well-drained sandy soil. A mixture of peat soil and coarse sand is usually used, with a small amount of bone meal added.

Watering

Water once a week during the growing season, and avoid keeping the soil in the pot too wet. In winter, you only need to water it once or twice, and keep the soil in the pot dry. When the air is dry, you cannot spray water directly on the leaves, you can only spray around the pot to prevent water accumulation and rot in the soil.

Fertilization

During the growing season, fertilize once a month.

Reproduction method

The propagation methods include division, cuttings and sowing. The sowing time is after the seeds are mature. The temperature suitable for germination is 16-19 degrees, and they will germinate after 2-3 weeks. In late spring, mature leaves can be cut for cuttings and inserted into the sand bed. They will take root after about 20 days, and they can be potted after the young plants grow.
