When choosing flowers, first look at the indoor light

Plenty of sunlight

Some homes, such as top floors or independent houses, have sun rooms or living rooms with plenty of sunlight and spring-like weather all year round, which are very suitable places for growing indoor flowers. If there is a large open-air balcony at home, the light here is also excellent. We can choose some sun-loving plants, such as asparagus, cacti, succulents, and some common flowering plants such as hoya, cineraria, rose, osmanthus, etc. But one thing to note is that some sunlight needs to be blocked here in summer.

Some direct light

The sunlight is near the east and west windows and 80 cm away from the south window. There is some direct sunlight here, and the lighting is relatively sufficient. Most indoor plants will grow well here. Such as spider plants, violets, communis, etc.

With light but no direct light

Flowering plants cannot be grown within 1.5-2.5m of the south window or other similar lighting conditions, but some shade-tolerant foliage plants can be guaranteed to grow normally. Such as asparagus fern, evergreen, ivy, monstera, green radish, white peace lily, etc.

Partial shade conditions

Close to a window without direct light or farther away from a window with direct light. Here you can choose plants that are very shade-tolerant, such as evergreen, aspidistra, ironwood, arrowroot, tiger skin plant, etc.

Dark Place

Farther away from the window. Here you can only choose the most shade-tolerant plant species among foliage plants, such as evergreen, spider plant, fern, snake plant, and philodendron. However, these plants cannot grow well in the dark. During the maintenance process, we need to change their positions regularly so that the plants can receive sunlight, otherwise the plants will grow poorly.
