The difference between dragon claw and aloe vera

The difference between dragon claw and aloe vera

1. Different stems

Dragon claw, also known as arborescent aloe, is a perennial herb with a relatively short stem. However, because it is in the growth stage, the exact length of the stem is difficult to know.

Aloe vera generally does not have a stem, and through this difference, the difference can be observed very accurately.

2. Different leaves

The leaves of dragon claw are relatively slender and look like dragon claws. They are about 30 cm long, 3-4 cm wide and 1-1.5 cm thick. Its surface color is dark green and covered with a brownish-purple membrane. If broken in the middle, the cross-section is a large V-shape, usually clustered at the base in a rosette shape.

The leaves of aloe vera are relatively wide and not long and narrow. They are about 15-35 cm long.

3. Different flowers

Dragon claw usually blooms in autumn and winter. Its flowers are generally umbrella-shaped, with 5-7 flowers on it. The color is mostly orange-red and looks relatively bright red.

Aloe vera flowers have many shapes, including umbrella-shaped and spike-shaped, and the color of the flowers is mostly light yellow.
