How long is the growth period of early rice?

Introduction to Early Rice Growth

Early rice prefers a warm environment and is mainly grown in the southern region, distributed in 12 provinces (regions) including Hunan, Jiangxi, Guangxi, Guangdong, Sichuan, Anhui, Jiangsu, Hubei, Zhejiang, Fujian, and Yunnan, with a large sowing area.

Early rice growth cycle

Early rice prefers a warm and humid environment and is suitable for planting in fertile, loose, well-drained soil. It can germinate and grow when the temperature is between 12 and 14 degrees. It is not resistant to low temperatures. If the temperature is low, warming measures need to be taken in advance.

It takes about 90 to 120 days for early rice to grow.

Early rice growth rate

Early rice grows very fast. It can complete the process of germination, flowering and fruiting in one year at most, or 3-4 months at fastest. It only takes 3 days for the sprouts to grow after the seeds are planted, and only three days for the first leaf to grow. If the climate is mild, it can be planted three times a year.

Early rice grows fast.

Early Rice Growth Cycle Management

The national early rice yield per unit area is 398 kg per mu.

Temperature management: Early rice prefers a warm climate. If the average daily temperature is stably above 12 degrees for three consecutive days, it can be planted. The suitable sowing period in the Yangtze River Basin is March and April. As the latitude and altitude increase, the temperature decreases and the planting date should be postponed.

Fertilization management: Before planting early rice, base fertilizer can be applied to the soil. During the subsequent growth period, urea and organic fertilizer need to be applied. If seedlings become stiff, potassium sulfate or potassium chloride and zinc fertilizer can be applied.
