What soil should be used to grow Oxalis

The soil formula most commonly used by flower lovers is a mixture of peat, perlite and vermiculite in equal proportions, which is known as "three-in-one".

peat

Also known as peat, it is a product of swamps that took thousands of years to form and is the most primitive state of coal. As a soil conditioner, it contains a lot of organic matter, is non-toxic and sterile, has good air permeability, is light in weight, retains water and fertilizer, and can enhance biological performance.

The biggest benefit of adding peat to the soil is that you can easily determine how moist the soil is. A darker color means the soil is moist and does not need watering. If the color is lighter, it means the soil is dry and does not need watering.

Note: Pick out the impurities in the peat and break up the clumps before use. Then add some water to mix with other ingredients more thoroughly.

Perlite

Perlite is common in garden flowers. It can improve soil structure and prevent soil compaction. When purchasing, be sure to choose varieties with less dust and sift them with a sieve before use.

Vermiculite

Vermiculite is widely used and can be used in flower, vegetable, fruit cultivation, seedling raising, etc. As potting soil and regulator, vermiculite with larger particles can also be used for soilless cultivation.

Vermiculite can promote the growth and development of plant roots, provide nutrients for them, and ensure a stable temperature at the roots. Adding vermiculite to the soil saves fertilizer and labor.
