Is Clivia acidic or alkaline? Cultivation methods and precautions in winter

1. Acidic or alkaline

Clivia prefers slightly acidic conditions. When the pH value is between 5.5 and 6.5, the plant's growth is relatively good. If it is too acidic, it will affect its growth. If the soil pH is not suitable, its leaves will look very thin and long, and the roots may rot.

2. Winter maintenance

1. Bring it indoors: The temperature in winter is generally low, so if it was previously raised outdoors, it needs to be moved indoors for maintenance. And you also need to do a good job of keeping warm. It grows better at 15~25℃, and the maintenance temperature should not be lower than 10℃. If the temperature is too low, it will affect its flowering.

2. Watering: Water it very little in winter because its roots are fleshy and are afraid of waterlogging. In addition, water does not evaporate quickly in winter, so water must be controlled. After the soil in the pot is dry, you can add some water to it. In addition, you can also spray some water on the leaves to increase the humidity of maintenance.

3. Sunlight: Keep it in a well-lit environment throughout the winter, especially when it is about to bloom, it should be exposed to more light. When the plant is exposed to light, you should rotate the flowerpot appropriately so that the plant can be exposed to light evenly.

4. Note: Do not water halfway, and the water temperature should also be controlled well. Do not use too cold water. In addition, the ventilation of the maintenance environment should be enhanced. Only timely ventilation can promote its growth.
