1. Leaf DifferenceThe leaves of Datura are long oval with irregular wavy shallow cracks, but the number of cracks is not large. The length is about 8-17 cm and the width is about 4~12 cm. The leaves of okra are very distinctive. They are palm-lobed with 3-5 cracks or shallow fissures. The leaves below the plant are larger and rounder, and are round and wide. There are small white transparent particles on the back of the leaves. The leaves on the upper part are smaller and narrower. 2. Flower DifferencesDatura blooms from June to October. The flowers are usually solitary in branch forks or leaf axils. The corolla is funnel-shaped and relatively slender. The lower part of the flower is light green, and the upper part is white or lavender. It is quite ornamental and looks like a small trumpet. Okra blooms from May to September. Its flowers are generally axillary, yellow-white in color, dark red at the base, and the whole flower has a layered feel. 3. Fruit DifferenceThe fruit of the former is oval, about 2-4cm in diameter, with hard thorns on the surface, and turns light yellow when ripe. The fruit of the latter is relatively long, like a pepper, about 10 cm long, and green in color. |
