How to plant Tangyin seeds

Soil Preparation

If you want to grow flowers well, you must prepare suitable planting soil for them and give them a comfortable "home".

Tang Yin prefers loose cultivation soil, but also requires the soil to have a certain drainage capacity. This kind of potting soil can provide its roots with sufficient air and will not cause its roots to rot due to water accumulation.

I have prepared two solutions for you:

Normal: 65% peat soil + 35% coarse sand or other hard medium

High quality: 25% coconut bran + 35% peat + 30% granular soil + 10% vermiculite

Everyone can adjust it according to their specific situation.

Planting of seeds

Compared with other flowers, the germination speed of Tangyin is relatively slow, and the seeds are very small, and once they are planted in the soil, they may not be found. Therefore, when sowing, you can sow it in a shallow tray instead of in a flowerpot, which is convenient for care.

First, prepare a shallow tray, spray a little fungicide on it, and then cover it with a layer of moistened growing soil. Sprinkle the seeds lightly on it, being careful to handle it with care and not to allow it to be mechanically damaged.

Then cover the seeds with a thin layer of fine sand, the thickness should not exceed 1cm.

Cover the shallow dish with plastic wrap or glass to maintain humidity inside the dish.

Place the tray in a room out of direct sunlight and they will sprout in about 15 to 30 days.

Transplanting of young shoots

After the young shoots break through the soil in the shallow tray, they can be transplanted.

For transplanting, you can choose a relatively small flower pot and fill the pot with the growing soil. Do not fill it too full, just fill it to about 90% of the container's capacity.

Dig a small hole in the center of the flowerpot. It doesn't need to be too deep, just about the same depth as the potting soil in the shallow tray.

Take out the young sprout together with the potting soil around it and plant it in the hole of the flowerpot. In this step, you must be careful not to damage the roots of the young shoots. Otherwise the young shoots will not be able to grow healthily.

Press the growing soil brought by the young sprouts tightly against the growing soil in the flowerpot to ensure that the roots can continue to grow into the growing soil. Be careful not to press too tightly in this step, otherwise the roots of the plant may not be able to breathe.

Finally, you need to water it once. This time, be sure to water it thoroughly to facilitate the continued growth of the young shoots.
