How to grow Hawaiian coconut on the balcony, what should you pay attention to

1. Adequate sunlight

Hawaiian coconut is relatively shade-tolerant and requires sufficient light during its growth. It cannot be grown in a dark place indoors all the time, otherwise the color of the leaves will become lighter and yellower. If light stimulation is given reasonably, this situation is beneficial to growth. It can be placed on the balcony and given reasonable light to ensure good growth, and the leaves will be shiny and beautiful. However, the light in summer is too strong, and the plant must not be exposed to strong sunlight, otherwise the leaves will turn yellow and the appearance will be seriously affected.

2. Moisture Application

During the growing period, the soil in the pot should be kept moist and watered regularly to maintain good growth. Adequate water application can benefit the growth of the plant and also make the leaves become dark green. Starting from the end of autumn, the temperature gradually decreases and the demand for water gradually decreases, which can enhance the ability to resist cold and safely spend the winter.

3. Soil Preparation

Before maintenance, the substrate must be good. It can be loose, breathable, nutritious soil, and rich in organic fertilizer as base fertilizer to ensure good growth.

4. Apply fertilizer

During the growing season, which is from March to October, the plant is in a period of vigorous growth and liquid fertilizer should be applied every 1-2 weeks to promote leaf growth and make the leaves shiny.
