The cultivation method and precautions of Polygonum multiflorum

The cultivation method and precautions of Polygonum multiflorum

1. Maintenance methods

1. Soil: It can grow well in ordinary soil. It is suitable for growing in deep, fertile sandy soil containing humus. When preparing the soil, you can use sawdust, charcoal ash and a small amount of rotten leaves. This kind of soil has good air permeability and is very suitable for its growth.

2. Light: If the light intensity is too strong, it will affect its growth. In summer, you should temporarily move it to a cooler place to avoid being exposed to the sun. In other seasons, just let it receive normal sunlight.

3. Temperature: It likes to live in a relatively warm and humid climate. It will grow better in an environment of 20-22℃. The temperature should not be lower than 18℃.

4. Water: It needs more water, so to ensure the moisture of its soil, water it once a day. Do not water too much and pay attention to drainage to avoid water accumulation that may cause root rot.

2. Breeding techniques

1. Reproduction: It can be sown in March and April. The seeds should be evenly placed in the soil. During this period, the soil moisture should be maintained to ensure that the seeds have enough moisture to germinate.

2. Pruning: If it is a potted plant at home, in order to maintain its beautiful tree shape, we must promptly remove the young buds on the top to promote the germination of side branches and flower buds. At the same time, we should also pay attention to weeding, so that the potted plant will be fuller and more ornamental.

3. Problem diagnosis and treatment

1. Rust disease: Rust-like spots appear on the leaves. The reason for this is that we do not manage the potted plants well, so we need to strengthen the management, place them in a ventilated place, cut off the diseased parts, and spray them with methyl thiophanate.

2. Brown spot disease: In summer, it will harm the roots, so you must strengthen management to prevent water from accumulating inside, and cut off the infected parts. You can use carbendazim wettable powder to irrigate its roots.

IV. Other issues

1. Can it be raised at home: Yes, it can be raised at home. It is recommended to strengthen management and ventilate frequently.

2. Whether it can be exposed to rain: It is best not to be exposed to rain, because Polygonum multiflorum is afraid of waterlogging, so pay attention to drainage to avoid water accumulation and root rot.
