How to propagate the monkey orchid

1. Method of division

1. Generally, it is chosen before the seeds begin to sprout in spring. This period is the time of growth and it is easy to take root.

2. First, take the mother plant out of the original pot, remove the old soil around it, and comb out the roots underneath, but be gentle and don't damage them.

3. Use a small sharp knife to cut from the base of the stem, and then divide it into several plants. They must have roots on them to facilitate survival.

4. Apply carbendazim on the incised area to effectively prevent bacterial infection. Afterwards, plant them separately and take good care of them.

2. Sowing Methods

1. Because the seeds are relatively small, they are usually sown in a greenhouse in autumn. Sow the seeds in a flat tray without covering them with soil.

2. After sowing, expose the seeds to sunlight and wait for about 25 days for them to sprout.

3. After the seedlings grow out, do not apply water too frequently, just keep them moist.

4. When it grows to about 10cm, you can plant it in a flowerpot and it will bloom in 1-2 years.
