What to do if the peony roots rot and the leaves wilt

Reasons why peony flowers have rotten roots and wilted leaves:

The original problem of peony not blooming is caused by problems often encountered in daily care, such as excessive sunlight, diseases, pests, etc., and it may also be caused by damage to the roots of the peony.

Things to note when growing peony flowers:

Growth characteristics: In fact, peonies prefer a relatively dry and cool environment, and can even survive in temperatures of minus 30 degrees Celsius, but if the temperature is higher than 25 degrees, the peony will enter a dormant state; the best temperature for flowering is 17 to 20 degrees Celsius; in the early stage of its flowering period, the peony must be kept at a temperature of 1 to 10 degrees from February to March before it will bloom normally; its flowering period is from April to May.

Soil: The most suitable soil for peony growth is sandy soil. The soil should be of a certain thickness and have good drainage. Neutral soil is also acceptable.

Watering: Even if the peony and the soil are dry, they cannot be kept moist all the time. The roots of the peony are particularly afraid of waterlogging. Do not water too much during daily watering. Water the peony thoroughly twice in the early growth stage, water it thoroughly once before winter comes, and water it according to the soil conditions before spring.

Fertilization: The base fertilizer of peony is very important and must be applied in sufficient amount. During daily maintenance, make sure to apply fertilizer at least 3 times a day. The first time is before flowering, the second time is within 15 days after flowering, and the third time is before winter comes. This fertilization will affect the effect of flowering the following year.
