2. Morphological characteristics

The ginseng fruit plant is about 60 to 150 cm tall, the base of the stem is woody, and adventitious roots easily grow on the stem nodes. Its leaves are hairy, basal, nearly leathery or papery, oblanceolate or linear-lanceolate in shape, about 15 to 65 cm long and about 1.5 to 9.5 cm wide. The tip of the leaves gradually becomes pointed and the base gradually narrows. Its flowers are in spike-like inflorescences, densely grown, bell-shaped, with fleshy petals that are yellow or yellow-green. The fruit is golden yellow in color, shaped like a human heart, and has crisp and juicy flesh.
