How to grow a fortune tree

How to grow a fortune tree

1. Water regularly

To grow a money tree well, you need to water it regularly to ensure that there is sufficient moisture in the soil, but no excess water. When watering it, you should control the amount. A slightly moist state is best. Too much water will cause the roots to rot and die, and too little water may temporarily stop growing. You can water it every 3-5 days, and don't water it when the soil is not dry.

2. Accept light

Avoid keeping it in a dark place in the house for a long time. It should be moved indoors regularly and exposed to more sunlight in an open place. Providing it with adequate light will help it grow more vigorously. In addition, don't expose it to strong sunlight in the hot summer, especially when the sun is strong at noon, as it is easy to get sunburned.

3. Nutrient maintenance

It grows very fast, so it needs to be fertilized on time. It can be fertilized once a month during its growth period. The fertilizer elements used should be balanced, and do not apply too much nitrogen fertilizer, otherwise the plant will grow too tall. It requires balanced use of phosphorus fertilizer, potassium fertilizer and nitrogen fertilizer so that it will grow better.

4. Change the soil and pot

The pot should be changed every 2-3 years. If the soil in the pot is not changed for too long, the soil will not only become hardened, but the nutrients in it will also be consumed. You should change it to a larger flowerpot and suitable soil. Using a pot that is too small will also hinder its root growth.
