1. Differences in plantsThe variegated ivy is an annual herb, about 15 to 25 cm in height, containing white latex. The branches are relatively slender and soft, with a lavender surface and soft white hairs. Qianjincao is a perennial evergreen herb. It is relatively tall, reaching more than 1 meter. The plant and branches are relatively smooth, without small hairs, and the color is relatively verdant green. 2. Differences in leavesThe leaves of the variegated ivy are relatively small, oblong in shape, about 5 to 8 mm long, 2 to 3 mm wide, with small fine teeth on the edges, dark green on the upper side, and covered with small white soft hairs on the lower side. The petioles are relatively short, about 1 mm long or almost absent. The leaves of the herb are relatively thick and soft in texture. There are two types of leaf shapes: one is linear-lanceolate, about 4 mm long and very narrow, less than 1 mm wide; the other is rectangular or quasi-circular. |
