The top of the leaves gradually becomes sharp, the base of the leaves is rounded or wedge-shaped, the leaves are entire, or have wavy tooth marks, and both sides of the leaves are glabrous. Panax notoginseng has finger-shaped compound leaves, about 3 to 6 of which are arranged in whorls at the top of the stem. The petiole is 5 to 11.5 cm long. The leaves are membranous, with the largest one in the center. Oblong or obovate-oblong, 7 to 13 cm long, 2 to 5 cm wide, gradually tapering to a pointed tip, with a broad cuneate or rounded base, and finely serrated edges. 2. Flower DifferencesThe flowers of the procumbent chrysanthemum Panax notoginseng are terminal or axillary umbels, each umbel has 3 to 5 capitula, slender peduncles, 20 to 30 florets, the flowers are orange-yellow, the corolla is 12 to 15 mm long, the lobes are ovate-lanceolate, and the apex is pointed. The flowers of Panax notoginseng are umbels, solitary at the top of the branches, with 80 to 100 flowers or more. The peduncle is 7 to 25 cm long. The flowers are very small and light yellow-green. |
