How to grow fuchsia

How to grow fuchsia

1. Soil

Fuchsia prefers relatively loose soil with high nutrient content. When raising it at home, you can mix leaf mold, sandy loam and decomposed bean cake fertilizer in a ratio of 5:4:1 and use it as its culture soil.

2. Temperature

It prefers relatively cool temperature conditions, and the optimal growth temperature is 15-25℃. It hates heat. When the temperature exceeds 30℃, it will stop growing and show adverse phenomena such as falling leaves. Therefore, in summer, it needs to be placed in a relatively cool place for cultivation.

3. Lighting

It likes relatively cool growing conditions and can be grown in a place with scattered light. In summer, it is necessary to shield it from strong sunlight to prevent it from being exposed to strong sunlight and causing leaves to be burned or curled.

4. Moisture

It likes moisture, but is very afraid of waterlogging. When watering, you need to do it according to the condition of the potting soil. Just keep the soil moist and don't water too much. During the rainy season, you should pay attention to protecting it from rain and drain the rainwater accumulated in the basin in time.

5. Fertilization

It is relatively fertilizer-loving and can be fertilized with a thin layer of nitrogen fertilizer once a week during the growing season. In addition, it is best to change the soil for it once every spring and mix some base fertilizer into the new soil. This will increase the nutrients in the soil and help it grow and bloom better.
