Lavender flowering period

Lavender flowering period

1. Flowering period: June to August

Generally speaking, lavender blooms from June to August every year. In June, its flowers will gradually begin to bloom. In July, it is its peak flowering period and most of its flowers have already bloomed. At this time, the lavender fields usually appear a very dreamy purple color, which is very beautiful. If you want to enjoy the flowers, it is best to go at this time. By the end of August, its flowers will begin to wither.

2. Control the flowering period

For wild lavender, the flowering period is generally from June to August, but if it is a potted plant, if it is given suitable growing conditions, its flowering period can be artificially controlled.

It usually takes 18-20 weeks from sowing to flowering, so you need to work backwards from when you want it to bloom. After sowing it, you need to ensure that it has sufficient light and good ventilation conditions. In addition, it is best to keep it warm in winter and cool in summer, so that it can ensure that it will bloom smoothly.
