What is the relationship between the red spider lily, the red spider lily, and the mandala?

What is the relationship between the red spider lily, the red spider lily, and the mandala?

The connection between the three

First of all, we should know that Lycoris radiata has another name, called "Red Spider Lily", then the connection between them is very clear. In fact, there are three colors of red spider lilies: red, white and yellow. The red ones bloom in hell, the white ones bloom in heaven, and Lycoris radiata is the red one among them.

However, when we talk about Datura, we mainly refer to the plants of the genus Datura, which all belong to the Solanaceae family, so it has no direct connection with the first two flowers.

The difference between the three

First of all, we just said that Lycoris radiata is a red type of Higanbana, so compared with the two, the range of Higanbana is larger. We have said above that Mandala has no connection with either of them, so there is no way to compare the scope.

Then there is the difference between their flower languages. The flower language of the first plant is quite special and different in each country. For example, in Japan its flower language is "sad memories", in North Korea it is "mutual longing", and in China it is "grace and purity". The flower language of the second plant is "endless love", "foreshadowing of death", and "call from hell". The flower language of the third plant is "endless longing" and "despair of love".

Finally, there is the difference in the origin of their names. The origin of the first plant is related to the seasons. The week of the vernal equinox and the autumnal equinox are called "Spring Beyond" and "Autumn Beyond" respectively, hence the name. The second plant is a transliteration from Sanskrit. The third plant comes from Buddhist scriptures.
