He Bo and Luo Bo fought for several years for a beautiful woman named Mi Fei. Mi Fei was the daughter of Fuxi. She married Luo Bo and was also known as Luopin. This beautiful princess brought hope to Youluo clan, enabling them to marry Fuxi, and also brought immense glory to Luobo. All this made He Bo extremely jealous.

The fortune teller was named Kunwu, and his divination was said to be very accurate. Kunwu told Luo Bo that fighting would be unlucky. Coincidentally, He Bo also invited Kunwu to his tribe and asked him to predict the outcome of the war.

Kunwu took out the tortoise shell and yarrow used for divination and carefully predicted using traditional methods. Mi Fei boarded He Bo's flower boat amid the cries of her clansmen. Mi Fei sneered at the complacent He Bo and jumped into the turbulent Luo River. The news of the princess's suicide for love was passed on to Fuxi, who was furious and sent troops to wipe out the He family in one fell swoop. Concubine Mi drowned herself in the Luo River for righteousness. People said that she became the god of the Luo River and was revered by generations. Later, many bright red flowers bloomed on the banks of the Luo River.

The Roselle flower was transformed from the blood and tears of the goddess Roselle, and its flower is bright red in color. Whenever it blooms in patches, its bright blood-red color illuminates the river water and dyes the blue sky red.
