Evening primrose is strong in nature and can survive in all kinds of soil. It can also be placed in potted plants on the balcony for viewing. Industrial value of evening primrose

Evening primrose oil is the main ingredient in many natural herbal cosmetics. Evening primrose contains high concentrations of fatty acids and linolenic acid, which can prevent and treat psoriasis, eczema and other skin diseases.

Evening primrose also locks in moisture, and its essential fatty acids keep nails healthy and prevent breakage, while also nourishing the scalp and hair.

Medicinal value of evening primrose

Evening primrose is warm in nature and sweet in taste. It has the function of strengthening tendons and bones, dispelling wind and dampness, and is used to treat rheumatism, tendon and bone pain and other symptoms.

Evening primrose is also very effective in relieving sore muscles and bones, promoting blood circulation and unblocking meridians, calming wind and soothing the liver, and reducing swelling and healing sores. It is mainly used to treat chest pain, heart pain, hemiplegia caused by stroke, internal movement of wind, hyperactivity in children, numbness and pain caused by rheumatism, abdominal pain and diarrhea, dysmenorrhea, fox-induced madness, sores, eczema and other symptoms.

Its seeds can be extracted for oil, saponified and acidified to obtain γ-linolenic acid, which can then be transformed into prostaglandin E1 through chemical structure modification and biosynthesis. It is a new anti-thrombotic and vasodilator drug that is widely used in thromboangiitis vasculitis, chronic arterial occlusive disease, myocardial infarction, central retinal vein thrombosis arteriography, vascular reconstruction angiography, etc.
