The ornamental effect of Viburnum

The lifespan of the magnolia is very long. There is a magnolia tree from the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty in the Daming Temple in Yangzhou. It has a history of more than 300 years and is still lush and graceful today.

The beauty of the magnolia is very unique. At the turn of spring and summer, when nature is a riot of colour, the magnolia is as white as jade and graceful. And when the autumn wind blows and the flowers wither, the magnolia is the charming autumn color of green leaves and red fruits, adding bright colors to the bleak autumn.

The flowers of the magnolia are as big as a plate, surrounding a small white pearl-like flower in the middle, and surrounded by a group of butterfly-like stamens. When the breeze blows, it sways gently like a butterfly playing with a pearl.

Medicinal value of Viburnum

Viburnum can detoxify and relieve itching: In folk culture, people often use the branches, leaves and fruits of viburnum as medicine, which has the effects of clearing meridians, detoxifying and relieving itching. It is usually picked in spring and summer and can be dried or used fresh.

Viburnum also has the effect of promoting blood circulation, relieving pain, and treating bruises. In the past, people would dry the picked viburnum and preserve it, take 3 to 4 cents of it and boil it in water, or grind the dried viburnum into powder and apply it directly to the affected area.

You can also use the dried viburnum to make wine, twice a day, with rice wine as the guide, which is very effective in treating injuries from falls.
