How to treat rust on osmanthus leaves and how to first aid when they dry up

How to treat rust on osmanthus leaves and how to first aid when they dry up

1. Treatment methods for rust spots

1. Brown spot disease: When it is infected with brown spot disease, rust spots will appear on the leaves. In the early stage, they are small yellow spots, which will expand and become round spots in the later stage. If this is the case, Bordeaux mixture should be sprayed at the early stage of the disease, and then mancozeb or thiophanate-methyl should be sprayed again after half a month.

2. Anthracnose: Rust spots on its leaves may also be caused by anthracnose, which is mostly caused by long-term exposure to high temperature and humidity. In the early stage of the disease, there will be purple-brown circular spots with small black spots on the leaves. This disease needs to be prevented and controlled in advance. Mancozeb should be sprayed from July to August, and weeds, dead branches and diseased leaves should be thoroughly removed in winter. If the plant has been infected with this disease, spray it with multibacterium-clearing on both sides of the leaves. Use it once every 10 days and it will be effective after three times.

Second, the first aid method of dryness

The drying of its leaves is caused by many reasons, such as poor ventilation, improper watering and fertilization, and unsuitable soil. If this situation is discovered, the management environment should be changed as soon as possible, ventilation should be strengthened, and the methods of watering and fertilizing should be changed. If the soil is not suitable, change it as soon as possible. You also need to cut off the dry leaves and spray carbendazim for disinfection. Spray once a day and the situation will improve in about a week. After new leaves grow, you need to provide an environment conducive to growth to help it recover faster.
