How to save a dried azalea? Can a dried azalea survive?

1. Can you survive?

If only the upper part of the azalea plant is withered, it can still recover through careful care. If the roots are already rotten, then it is basically impossible to save the plant.

2. How to rescue

1. Check the roots: After the azalea dries up, check the roots first. Loosen the soil around the pot wall and then carefully remove the plant. Wash the soil around the roots with water and check for rot. For rotten roots, cut them off with sterilized scissors, and then apply carbendazim on the wound for disinfection.

2. Change the soil and replant: After pruning the roots, you need to replant. Choose a flowerpot of suitable size, put tiles and coarse sand on the bottom of the pot, and then put a layer of nutrient soil. Place the plant upright and fill with soil, compact it and water it thoroughly.

3. Prune branches and leaves: If the upper branches and leaves are too dense, it will cause greater pressure on the rooting, so they need to be pruned. All dead and dense branches should be cut off, so that a certain amount of water and nutrients can be retained, allowing the plant to recover faster.

4. Seedling care: During the seedling care period, place the azalea in a well-ventilated place and expose it to some scattered light. Watering should be done only after the soil in the pot is completely dry, and the temperature should be controlled between 15-25℃. It will take root and sprout after a month, and then applying a little thin fertilizer will be beneficial to its growth.
