Can the lucky tree survive if it is frozen?

Can the lucky tree survive if it is frozen?

1. Can I still live?

Whether the lucky tree can survive the freezing depends on the severity of the freezing. If the leaves of the plant have already turned yellow, then there is little chance of saving it. But if the freezing time is not long, the roots have not been frozen to death, and only a few leaves are withered and yellow, it can still be saved.

2. How to treat

1. Keep warm in time: The lucky tree cannot be placed in a high temperature area immediately after being frozen, otherwise the temperature difference will cause further damage to the roots. It should be placed in a place around 10℃ first. Then cover the entire pot with a plastic bag and poke a few holes to ensure ventilation. Be careful not to use a black bag as this will block light.

2. Watering moderately: The lucky tree does not require much water after being frozen, but you must still remember to water it and keep the soil in the pot moist. Too much watering is not conducive to recovery, because frozen leaves need very little water, and too much water may also inhibit the respiration of the roots.

3. Adequate light: Place the frozen lucky tree potted plant in a sunny place. Since the sunlight is relatively soft in winter, it can be exposed to sunlight for a long time and does not need to be shaded. The daily exposure time should be as long as possible, which is conducive to the recovery of the plants.

4. Beheading: If the condition of the lucky tree does not improve after normal maintenance, it is necessary to take "beheading" measures. This beheading refers to directly cutting off the upper part of the tree crown, leaving only the place where the main trunk is forked. This consumes less nutrients and water, and is easier to survive in low temperatures.
