What to do if azalea drops leaves

1. Replace the potting soil

Because it likes to grow in loose, breathable and well-drained acidic loam, but long-term application of alkaline water may cause the loam to become hardened and alkaline, then the root growth will be restricted and suffocated, causing the leaves to fall and die.

You can replace the soil in the pot with new culture soil to ensure that the pH value is lower, or you can add a few drops of vinegar when watering, which can also ease the pH value.

2. Increase or decrease light

It is a semi-shade flower and generally needs shade in spring, summer and autumn, but it needs exposure to sunlight in winter. If it is exposed to too little sunlight at this time, it will cause leaves to fall. In the case of strong sunlight in summer, this situation can also occur if it is exposed to the scorching sun.

It should be given an appropriate amount of light according to the season. If there is a lack of light, it should be moved outdoors for exposure to light. If there is too much light, it should be placed in a cool place.

3. Adjust the temperature

Temperature is critical for maintenance. Once the temperature is higher than 30℃, or lower than 3℃ in winter, the plant will be adversely affected, the whole plant will change, and the leaves will naturally fall off.

The location can be adjusted according to weather conditions, and it is best to keep it at 15-25℃.
