What to do if the white chrysanthemum does not germinate

What to do if the white chrysanthemum does not germinate

1. Planting time and suitable temperature

If the white crystal chrysanthemum you plant is always reluctant to sprout, then you need to look at your planting time and temperature. Spring and autumn are generally the best time to plant. In warm areas, most seeds are sown in autumn, but in North China, it is more suitable to sow in spring. In addition, the most suitable temperature for seed germination is generally between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius. If you choose the right temperature, the seeds will generally begin to germinate 5 to 8 days after sowing, and will bloom 11 to 12 weeks after sowing. If it is a hot summer or a cold winter, it is best to grow it indoors, and the indoor temperature should not be too high or too low. So if it doesn't germinate, you need to see if the temperature is not suitable. If so, you need to adjust the temperature.

2. Humidity and light for planting

White crystal chrysanthemum prefers warm, humid and sunny places. When it germinates, special attention must be paid to the humidity. If you want to maintain sufficient humidity, you should spray more water. In addition, absorbent cotton strips and the tray under the pot can also regulate the humidity very well, so we must always pay attention to the changes in moisture and add water in time. It also needs enough sunlight, so if it doesn't germinate, you need to check whether it is due to insufficient humidity or light.

3. Amount of watering after planting

If it doesn't sprout, you should check whether you have watered it too much, because too much watering will make the soil too moist and it will be difficult to germinate. At this time, we need to take remedial measures, generally replacing the wet soil outside the soil lump with dry sandy loam. This will quickly absorb the excess water, and the soil will be less moist, which will allow it to germinate faster.
