What to do if the red maple leaves wither

What to do if the red maple leaves wither

Causes of withering

The first step in dealing with anything is to find out the reason why the situation occurred. The withering and curling of leaves of trees like red maple is basically due to the temperature, light and air humidity. If you rule out the above reasons of improper management, then the red maple you are raising is probably sick.

Solution

If the leaves dry up due to excessive light intensity, it is because the temperature is high in summer and the red maple potted plants are placed in direct sunlight for a long time, so a large amount of water in the plants is evaporated, causing the leaves to wither. In this case, the potted plants should be immediately moved away from the current high temperature environment and moved to a location with suitable temperature and good air flow, and measures should be taken immediately to address the water shortage of the plants. It is recommended to water them thoroughly, but no water should be retained. While blocking the sunlight, you should also help increase the air humidity by using spray tools. When the temperature is high during the day, you should promptly apply water mist to their leaves to mitigate the temperature so that the evaporated water can be replenished again.

If the leaves are dry and curled due to disease, it is probably contaminated with some bacteria. The solution is to remove the dry leaves in time, add some fertilizer to the plant to improve its ability to prevent and resist diseases and pests, and then take auxiliary management measures such as water and humidity, and gradually wait for the red maple to regain its strong vitality.
