What to do if the leaves of the Dance of Elegance fall off

Reasons for leaf drop

Sun exposure

The Dancing Plant likes plenty of sunlight and a warm and dry environment. It is drought-resistant and avoids dampness and cold.

Although it can grow normally under semi-shade and scattered light conditions, the variegated colors on the leaves will fade and the distance between the nodes will lengthen, making the plant loose and not compact, affecting its appearance.

In addition, the high temperature in summer and exposure to the sun can easily cause the leaves to fall off.

Black rot

Black rot is the most common disease of succulents, which is usually caused by fungal infection due to excessive watering or an overly humid breeding environment. This generally causes the leaves to become limp. Symptoms include leaf drop.

Lack of water

Leaves will also fall off when there is a lack of water. If the plant just falls off but does not wrinkle, it is not due to a lack of water, but may be caused by too much water.

The roots haven't grown well.

It may also be because the succulents have been repotted and have just been exposed to a new environment, and the root system has not yet adapted, so the leaves are falling off. This can be considered a normal metabolic process.

What to do if leaves fall off

In daily maintenance, you generally need to water less, expose it to the sun more, and avoid excessive exposure to the sun. In addition, you also need to pay attention to maintaining a ventilated environment. If it is caused by black rot, cut off the infected part with a sterilized knife, spray with benomyl, and cover with sulfur.
