Disease and Pest Control of Lucky Grass

Disease and Pest Control of Lucky Grass

1. Diseases

There are not many types of diseases for this plant, the main one is just one, called "anthracnose", so we will introduce this in detail below.

This disease mainly harms its leaves, and when the disease occurs, many gray-brown circular spots will appear on its leaves. If the disease continues to develop, small black spots may appear on the lesions. The pathogen overwinters in the soil or on diseased leaves, spreads by air currents or water, and can infect again through spores after disease occurs. There are two to three peak outbreaks each year in the south, but only one in the north. The severity of the disease depends on the amount of precipitation. If it continues to rain, the chance of the disease may increase.

To prevent and control this disease, you must first deal with the diseased leaves that have been infected, cut them off and dispose of them several times to reduce the source of infection. Another thing is to use some medicine, such as 25% charcoal talen powder and 500 times liquid, etc., once every ten days or so, about three or four times will be enough. In addition, post-management is also very important. For example, the light should not be too strong, otherwise it may cause it to become diseased, because this plant is shade-tolerant.

2. Pests

There are many pests that threaten this plant, such as white grubs and so on. They mainly exist underground and reproduce relatively quickly, so they are also quite harmful. They will bite the underground roots of the plant, and when the bite reaches a certain level, the plant will fall over and die. To deal with these pests, we can spray a thousand times concentration of Lesban, or use the extract of wood ash.
