Disease and insect pest control of fragrant wood

Disease and insect pest control of fragrant wood

The fragrant wood is named because its leaves have a fragrant smell. Although this beautiful and pleasant-smelling flower has the effect of repelling mosquitoes and insects, it really cannot prevent itself from being infested with insects. Common pests and diseases include aphids, red spiders, etc.

Aphids Pests on Fragrant Wood

Aphid damage

Aphids can cause the plant to develop abnormally, with the back of the leaves wrinkling, curling, or falling off irregularly, the flower buds to deform, the number of flowers to decrease or become smaller, and even the entire plant to wither and die.

Solution

DIY insecticide: Use 3-4g of laundry detergent, add 100g of water, stir to dissolve and spray on the leaves. Spray 2 to 3 times continuously to effectively prevent and control aphids.

Garlic therapy: Use 0.5kg of purple garlic, soak it in water, and mash it to get the juice. Dilute it 10 times with water and it can be used. In addition to garlic, you can also soak orange peels and cigarette butts in tea and spray them when needed...

Chili therapy: Add 30-50g of water to fresh and dried chili and boil for half an hour. Spraying affected plants can effectively kill scale insect pests.

Dilute the "Wind Oil Essence" with water to make a 600-800 times solution, and spray it with a sprayer to coat the insect body with the medicine. The effectiveness of killing pests such as aphids and scale insects is over 95%, and it does not cause any harm to the plants.

Mix laundry detergent, urea and water in a ratio of 1:4:100, and use it to spray the plants. This will kill insects and fertilize at the same time.

Soak peach leaves in water for a day and night, add a small amount of quicklime, filter and spray; thirdly, grind tobacco into fine powder, add a small amount of quicklime and spread it, which can achieve good prevention and control effects.

Red spider mites infestation on fragrant wood

Red spider mites

Red spider mites reproduce extremely quickly, causing serious damage and are a major cause of plant death. Red spider mites mainly hide on the back of leaves and are small red dots visible to the naked eye.

Prevention and treatment methods:

Place the affected potted plants in a jar that can accommodate potted plants, light a plate of mosquito coils, cover the mouth of the jar with plastic film, tie it tightly with a rope, and then make a small hole in the plastic film.

Small and medium-sized bonsai can be taken out in one hour, and large bonsai can be taken out in three hours. It is effective in one go and can kill both adult insects and eggs. If you put a piece of white paper under the bonsai, you can see a group of red dead insects.
