Causes and treatments for yellow peony leaves

1. Improper watering

1. Reason: Improper watering is also an important factor in its yellowing. It is afraid of waterlogging in the soil, and the water content in the pot is difficult to control with the eyes. Too much waterlogging will cause its roots to rot, causing the leaves to dry and turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: Remove the dry leaves in time, remove the pot and dry the soil. Cut off the rotten roots and it is best to change the soil and repot. To judge whether there is much water accumulation, you can knock on the earthen basin with your hand. If the sound is dull, it means there is too much water and you need to drain it in time.

2. Not properly trimmed

1. Reason: It needs to be pruned when it grows to a certain extent. If it is pruned too early, it may not absorb nutrients, resulting in malnutrition and the appearance of some yellow leaves. Failure to prune will also result in poor absorption of some nutrients, poor internal light transmittance, and old leaves will easily turn yellow.

2. Treatment method: It is best to prune about 5 months after germination. If pruning has been done early, you can cut off some branches that are too small and too weak to allow other branches to absorb nutrients in a balanced manner.

3. Improper fertilization

1. Reason: It needs a certain amount of fertilizer. If too much fertilizer is applied, it will cause root burn, excess nutrition and other problems due to excess fertilizer in the soil, resulting in yellowing leaves.

2. Treatment method: Get rid of the yellow leaves in time and do not use large amounts of fertilizer right away. You can apply some compound fertilizer containing iron and manganese elements. If it works, you can fertilize regularly. If there is excess fertilizer, you can flush it to drain away the accumulated fertilizer.
