How to deal with the yellowing leaves of cloud bamboo

How to deal with the yellowing leaves of cloud bamboo

1. Proper shade

Reason: Cloud bamboo should not be exposed to direct strong light. Long-term exposure will cause burns to the leaves, which will then turn yellow.

Solution: Provide shade for the cloud bamboo. You can move it to a semi-shaded area or use other objects to cover it. Do not place cloud bamboo in a dark place, as lack of sunlight is not good for its growth.

2. Water more

Reason: Malnutrition caused by lack of water in the cloud bamboo leads to yellowing of leaves.

Solution: Cloud bamboo likes warm and humid environment. If the soil in the pot is too dry, it means it is lacking water, so you must pay attention to watering it regularly. However, do not allow water to accumulate; water thoroughly all at once when the soil is dry. You can also spray water on the leaves to increase the air humidity.

3. Apply more fertilizer

Cause: The yellowing of the leaves of the cloud bamboo is caused by lack of nutrients. Generally, the yellowing of the whole plant is caused by this situation.

Solution: Increase the amount of fertilizer applied to cloud bamboo. It does not require a lot of fertilizer, so try to control the amount of fertilizer you apply. Apply it once a month, and don't apply too much.

4. Prune the roots

Cause: The leaves of the cloud bamboo turn yellow due to root rot. It may be caused by stagnant water, fertilizer accumulation, and diseases and insect pests.

Solution: Prune the rotten roots and burn them in time. In addition, if it is caused by stagnant water, drain the water. If it is caused by fertilizer accumulation, replace the potting soil in time and rinse with clean water. If it is caused by pests and diseases, spray pesticides immediately for prevention and control after diagnosis.
