What to do if violet leaves turn yellow

What to do if violet leaves turn yellow

1. Supplementary lighting

Reason: Violets are suitable for growing in a cool environment, but it cannot be too dark during cultivation. If it does not receive light for a long time, its leaves will turn from green to yellow.

Solution: Move it to a sunny place in time so that it can receive sufficient light. It is best to keep it in the sun for 6 hours a day. Only when there is sufficient light will its leaves turn green again.

2. Water control and ventilation

Reason: Watering is the most important part of plant cultivation. If you water too much on a regular basis, the leaves will turn yellow due to poor root breathing. In severe cases, the entire plant will die.

Solution: At this time, you must water less, control the amount of water, and then move the potted plants to a place with good air circulation. Only by allowing the moisture in the potting soil to evaporate as quickly as possible will the plant slowly return to its original appearance.

3. Increase fertilizer application

Reason: Violets need nutrients during their growth stage, but if no fertilizer is applied for a long time, the leaves of the plant will turn yellow due to lack of nutrients.

Solution: Apply some fertilizer to the plants as soon as possible, but do not apply too much fertilizer at once, increase the amount continuously. When applying fertilizer, apply it thinly and frequently to ensure that there are sufficient nutrients, and the leaves will gradually recover.
