High humidity

Large temperature difference

Banyan trees grow best in environments with a small temperature difference between day and night. An environment like that in Xinjiang, where people wear fur coats in the morning and gauze in the afternoon, is not suitable for the growth of banyan trees at all. When the temperature difference is above 10℃, large areas of yellow and black leaves will appear.

Therefore, during normal maintenance, the potted plants should be placed in a ventilated and lighted location, and shaded in time in summer.

Pests and diseases

The main pests and diseases of banyan trees are aphids, red spiders, scale insects, etc. When pests and diseases occur, the plants will suffer varying degrees of damage, causing root rot or damage, and causing yellowing of leaves.

When the leaves of the plant turn yellow, check the growth of the roots to see if there are dead roots, rotten roots, or damaged roots. Spray pesticides in time for prevention and control.

Improper fertilization

Banyan trees like fertilizer, but excessive fertilization will harm their growth. In mild cases, the leaves turn yellow, and in severe cases, the roots rot.
