How to care for succulents in winter? Can they be grown outdoors?

1. Increase the temperature

1. South: Succulents have difficulty growing normally in the cold winter, so you must take measures to keep warm and increase the growth temperature. For the southern regions, the temperature is relatively high, especially in Guangzhou, Yunnan and other places. These areas can be maintained outdoors. For the northern southern regions, outdoor maintenance can be achieved, but they need to be covered with plastic film at night or moved indoors.

2. North: The temperature in the northern region is relatively low, so you must pay attention to weather conditions and move the plants indoors in time. Most indoor spaces have heating equipment, so there is no problem keeping the temperature at 15-20 degrees Celsius, which is suitable for the growth of succulents.

2. Control watering

When caring for succulents in winter, you must pay attention to water control. At this time, the growth rate slows down, so the demand for water decreases. If you don't control the water, it will cause root rot. Just keep the soil dry in winter.

3. Maintain light

Place it in a well-lit place to fully meet its needs for sunlight. The indoor lighting conditions are not as good as those outdoors, so it should be grown on a south balcony with good sunlight.

4. Pay attention to ventilation

Although it is kept indoors, it cannot be too stuffy. If the growing environment is not well ventilated, it will cause the roots to be suffocated and the leaves to fall off. When the temperature is high at noon, you can open the windows appropriately to let in some air.
