Cultivation methods and precautions of green apple arrowroot

1. Soil

Judging from its growth habits, it likes loose, fertile soil with good drainage, and preferably slightly acidic. When preparing, you can mix humus, river sand, and an appropriate amount of compost. The pH value should be controlled between 5.5-7.2, which is more conducive to later growth and management.

2. Lighting

It likes semi-shaded environment and cannot be exposed to strong sunlight. When caring for it, you can place it in a bright place indoors, but be sure to shade or avoid it in time in the summer. Excessive exposure to the sun can easily burn the plant and cause yellowing, affecting its growth and appearance.

3. Temperature

It likes a warm environment, and the most suitable temperature is between 18-30 degrees. When growing indoors, maintaining this temperature will help it grow better and stronger. If it is the high temperature stage in summer, you should spray water on the plants frequently to cool them down. The temperature must be controlled in winter, and it must be kept at a minimum of 5 degrees to avoid severe frost damage.

4. Watering

It has relatively broad leaves and high water requirements. During the peak growing season, you need to spray water frequently to ensure that the plants are kept moist. But be careful not to overwater, otherwise the roots will easily rot and affect growth.

5. Notes

If a suitable growth environment is not provided during the maintenance period, such as poor ventilation or overly moist soil, the plant is susceptible to diseases and pests. Common insect pests include scale insects, red spiders, etc. Diseases include rust, leaf spot, etc. No matter what kind of pest or disease it is, it must be treated as soon as possible after discovery to avoid infection and deterioration.
