How to grow coral flowers

Light temperature

Coral flowers like light. In the hot summer, pay attention to shade them and avoid direct sunlight. At normal times, make sure to give them enough light.

In terms of temperature, the temperatures in different regions are different, so the requirements are also different. In the north, it can generally be moved indoors for maintenance in early to mid-October. It should be placed in a sunny place indoors. During the winter, the room temperature needs to be kept at around 12°C.

Watering and fertilizing

Do not water the coral flower frequently during its growth period, as excessive water can easily cause leaf loss and root rot. But you should pay attention to spraying water on the leaves and around the potting soil to keep the leaves and the environment moist.

Apply thin cake fertilizer water regularly, about once every 10 days; remember to stop fertilizing in winter.

prune

After the coral flower seedlings are potted, they should be pinched when they grow to a height of about 15 cm to promote branching and flowering. After the mature plant is repotted, it should be pruned once a year in early spring to promote balanced growth and development of the plant and ensure its beauty.

Pest and disease control

Coral flowers are prone to leaf spot disease in high temperature environments, so timely prevention and control are necessary.

It can be sprayed with 600 times diluted 65% Zineb wettable powder.

Common pests of coral flowers include spiny moths, leafhoppers and aphids, which can be killed by spraying with 2000 times diluted 10% insecticide emulsion.
