The difference between cucumber and cucumber, cucumber picture

1. Differences between the two

Cucumbers and melons are from the same plant. The latter are just tenderer and have not yet turned completely green, so they are distinguished. Generally speaking, the former is longer and thinner, and dark green in color, while the latter is thicker and shorter, and turquoise in color. Other than that, they also have slightly different tastes, but not too much. It should be noted that cucumbers grown in the south have fewer thorns, while those grown in the north have more prickly cucumbers.

2. How to grow cucumbers

1. Light: Cucumber is a day-neutral plant. It has no problem with long or short light. Its flower buds can be easily formed without affecting flowering and fruiting.

2. Temperature: Cucumber is a plant that likes warmth but is not cold-resistant. The daytime temperature should be kept between 25-32℃ and the nighttime temperature should be maintained at 15-18℃. The temperature difference between day and night should not exceed 15℃. Too high a temperature will affect its photosynthesis, while too low a temperature will cause it to freeze to death.

3. Watering: Cucumbers have a relatively large demand for water, and the soil humidity should be maintained between 60%-90%. It can be less during the seedling stage, but sufficient water must be ensured during the fruiting period. In addition, it also has requirements for air humidity. If it is too low, it is not conducive to growth, while if it is too high, it is prone to disease.

4. Fertilization: Cucumbers like fertilizer, but are not tolerant to fertilizer. When planting, you should apply enough base fertilizer, choose more decomposed organic fertilizer, and add an appropriate amount of superphosphate, so that you can provide sufficient nutrients.
