How to plant hyacinth seeds

How to plant hyacinth seeds

1. Autumn seed selection

The climate in autumn is more suitable for it, which can increase the survival rate and facilitate its growth. Prepare the seeds at this time and choose the plump ones. After selecting, soak it in clean water for three or four hours so that it can germinate faster.

2. Prepare the soil

It is recommended to prepare nutrient soil when planting, or purchase special soil to meet the needs. When mixing, you can use river sand, peat soil and a proper amount of bone meal as base fertilizer to ensure that the soil has sufficient nutrients, good drainage and is loose, so that it will grow well in the later stage and be easy to manage.

3. Sowing

After preparing the soil, you can sow the seeds. The method is very simple. Just sprinkle the seeds directly on it, making sure to cover them with one centimeter of soil to prevent them from being scraped away. If the temperature is low, cover with plastic film. During the covering period, open the film frequently to allow ventilation, and it will take about half a month to germinate. If you stay in this position for a long time, you may easily suffocate to death.

4. Post-management

After planting, water frequently to keep moisture. Do not let the soil be too dry, otherwise it will affect germination. Watering frequently will make the seeds germinate faster. In addition, keep it at a temperature of around 20 degrees and ventilate it regularly, which will shorten the germination time and allow new shoots to grow faster.
