Potato seedling cultivation method

Potato seedling cultivation method

1. Seedling sand bed

To grow sweet potato seedlings at home, you can first prepare a box as a container, make it as deep as possible, fill it with suitable garden soil, and ensure good nutrients and looseness, so as to provide a good foundation for growth. If you choose to plant it in the ground, you need to find a good place, choose a sunny place with light to ensure that the sunlight can be fully replenished. The soil should be as loose as possible, and you can apply enough base fertilizer in advance to ensure good nutritional supplementation.

2. Choose the right sweet potato

Generally, it is propagated by raising seedlings from its own tubers. You can pick out the leftovers and choose a plump and full one with no pests and diseases on the surface and no signs of damage. It is best if it has already sprouted, so as to ensure the chance of survival.

3. Buried seedlings

Bury the selected sweet potatoes in the soil, then cover them with a layer of soil, keeping the thickness at about 3 cm, and then water them thoroughly. Place it in a warm and soft place where it can be exposed to a certain amount of sunlight. Observe the moisture of the soil and water it immediately after it dries out.

4. Transplanting

After that, seedlings will gradually grow out. When they grow to about 10-20 cm, you can choose a sunny day to transplant the seedlings.
