How to dig wild camellia piles

How to dig wild camellia piles

1. Time Selection

When digging up camellia stumps, the choice of time is very important, as it determines the chances of survival after digging them up. Generally, the time is from December to February of the following year, when nutrients are concentrated inside and the probability of damage is reduced.

2. Choose flower piles

In terms of varieties, you can choose common ones. If you want to make it into camellia bonsai for viewing, you can choose large fruit tea and medium fruit tea, which are more suitable for production. After arriving at the mountain, we have to select the stakes, which is the first step in production. We need to check the growth conditions and judge whether they can survive, whether they grow healthily, and whether they can be cultivated.

3. Start mining

1. Before you start digging, you need to observe the flower stump as a whole to determine which side is the viewing side, and by the way, determine what kind of shape this flower stump is suitable for, and construct it in your mind to avoid damaging the branches that will be used later.

2. Remove a part of the crown, measure the diameter of the tree, and dig out the soil ball according to 6-8 times the diameter. Be careful to move gently and remove some old and rotten roots.

3. During the process of digging it out and transporting it back, pay attention to moisturizing it, spray some water on it appropriately, and pay attention to shade.
