How to grow peony indoors

How to grow peony indoors

1. Control humidity

Peony is not drought-tolerant, so during maintenance, it is necessary to ensure that the indoor humidity is above 50, otherwise its branches and leaves will easily turn yellow at the tips. If the temperature is high, you should also spray water mist around it in the morning and evening to increase the humidity.

2. Increase lighting

It cannot lack light during its growth process because it is a sun-loving plant. Therefore, when caring for it at home, try to place it in a sunny place to avoid moving it around to supplement light. In general, daily sunlight exposure should not be less than six hours.

3. Reasonable fertilization

The plants grow faster during the growth period and consume nutrients faster. If there is insufficient nutrition, it will affect its flowering period. In order to ensure sufficient nutrients, it needs to be fertilized once every two weeks. Note that the fertilizer concentration should be low.

4. Control watering

Its roots are very sensitive to water. If there is too much water in the soil, root rot is likely to occur. Therefore, when watering, you must control the amount of water. If the temperature is high, water it every two days and spray water on its branches and leaves in the morning and evening. When the temperature is lower, water once or twice a week.
