How to grow spinach and make it germinate quickly

How to grow spinach and make it germinate quickly

1. Seed selection

If you want the seeds to germinate faster after planting, you should choose seeds that are mature and not damaged before sowing. When screening, you can choose the soaking method, put all the seeds in water, and then discard the shriveled, blackened or damaged ones.

2. Soaking treatment

After the seeds are screened, they need to be soaked. You can treat it once with a hydrogen peroxide solution, and then soak it in warm water for about 30 to 50 minutes. If it is a low temperature environment, the soaking time should be extended to allow the seed coat to fully absorb water.

3. Preparation of matrix

When planting, choose soil with good air permeability so that the seeds can germinate as quickly as possible. The soil can be prepared by mixing sand, husk ash and nutrient soil, and then adding an appropriate amount of compound fertilizer to increase the nutrients. Be careful not to use highly alkaline soil, as it will affect germination.

4. Planting in the soil

After the seeds are processed, they can be scattered on the top of the soil, and then covered with a layer of wet grass to keep it moist, and pay attention to controlling the temperature. The temperature is best between 15 and 20 degrees. During this period, observe the dryness and wetness of the soil frequently. If it is found to be dry, add water in time to keep it slightly moist. It will germinate in about two weeks.
