Cultivation methods and precautions of tuberose

Cultivation methods and precautions of tuberose

1. Soil

When breeding, the soil should be well-drained, loose, fertile and acidic. You can use leaf mold, peat soil, river sand and then mix it with an appropriate amount of farmyard manure. This will provide sufficient nutrients and be more conducive to later growth.

2. Light temperature

It likes light and should be placed in a sunny place during maintenance. It should be shaded when the light is strong, especially in summer, to avoid burns. In addition, the plant is not cold-resistant and must be moved indoors as early as possible in winter, and the temperature must be controlled to above 10 degrees, otherwise the leaves will fall off.

3. Watering

It likes a humid environment, so water it frequently to keep the soil moist. In summer, water once or twice a day and spray more often to provide humidity. However, water must be controlled in winter and water must not accumulate.

4. Fertilization

During maintenance and management, fertilization should be done frequently, usually once every 10 to 15 days during the growing season. Diluted liquid fertilizer will do. Concentrated fertilizer can easily burn the roots and affect growth. It will be better if you go to a flower shop and buy special flower fertilizer when fertilizing.

5. Notes

When caring for it, be sure to repot it once a year, usually in early spring. When repotting, you should combine pruning with cutting off rotten and damaged roots, and re-arrange the soil, remembering to disinfect it first.
