Endless Summer Hydrangea Maintenance Methods and Precautions

Endless Summer Hydrangea Maintenance Methods and Precautions

1. Soil

The pH of the soil during cultivation determines the color of the flower ball. If it is acidic soil, the flower color will be blue. If the soil is neutral, the flower color is light pink or sky blue. However, attention should be paid to good air permeability and fertility and looseness so that the roots can breathe and grow better.

2. Temperature

It has low cold and high temperature resistance and is suitable for growing at temperatures between 18 and 26 degrees. When the summer temperature exceeds 35 degrees, pay attention to more ventilation, watering and cooling. In winter, when the temperature drops below 10 degrees, you must control the temperature, otherwise you will easily get frostbite.

3. Lighting

It likes light, but cannot tolerate strong light. It is best to place it in a bright place when caring for it. If there is no light, the flowers will be very small and the colors will not be bright. Avoid strong sunlight to avoid sunburn.

4. Fertilization

Fertilize frequently during maintenance, once every half a month during the growing season. Fertilizer should be diluted before application to avoid high concentration that will burn the roots. In addition, try to stop applying fertilizer in winter. It is difficult for the roots to absorb nutrients in a low temperature environment, so avoid fertilizer damage.

5. Notes

During maintenance and management, the pot should be changed in time as the plant grows, generally once every two years. When repotting, choose a pot that is larger than the original pot. In addition, it is also important to combine root pruning with the process. After removing the plant from the pot, cut off the old roots and rotten roots, dry the wounds, and then replant.
