How to propagate green apple arrowroot

1. Cutting

1. Cutting time: Cutting is generally carried out in late spring to early summer, when the temperature is around 20 degrees, which is more suitable for plant rooting and growth, and the survival rate can be higher.

2. Processing of cuttings: When taking cuttings, use the tender tips at the top as cuttings. Choose strong plants and cut them into small sections of about 10 cm. Then cut off half of the leaves on top to reduce nutrient loss. After processing, dip it in rooting powder and prepare for cuttings.

3. Prepare the soil: It likes to grow in soil with good air permeability and drainage. When cutting, you can use a mixture of river sand and peat soil as the substrate, which is more conducive to plant rooting.

4. Cutting maintenance: Cuttings can be carried out after preparation. The spacing between rows and plants should be 5 by 10 cm. After cutting, water appropriately to moisten the soil, and sprinkle water more to increase the humidity. It will take about a month to take root.

2. Division

Division is the most commonly used method of propagation, and the survival rate is higher than that of cuttings. Division is also carried out in spring. Use a blade to cut the leaf buds and roots of the mother plant's root system and plant them separately. It is important to keep it in a cool place after planting, and then maintain it normally after new roots grow.
