How to grow Dianthus

How to grow Dianthus

1. Lighting

It is very light-loving and should be placed in a place with sufficient light and long lighting time when it is cultivated. However, the light in summer is relatively strong, so it is necessary to block it in time and avoid strong sunlight, otherwise it will affect its growth.

2. Temperature

Dianthus is very cold-resistant, so there is no need to worry about the winter during the cultivation period. It can survive well in sub-zero temperatures. However, its ability to withstand high temperatures is poor, so in summer, you should pay attention to shade and ventilation, spray more water to cool it down, and never let it stay in a high temperature and stuffy environment.

3. Watering

It has a well-developed root system and a certain degree of drought resistance, so you don't need to water it too frequently, and it's better to keep it dry than wet. Water when the soil is dry and water thoroughly, but do not allow water to accumulate. Especially before and after the flowering period, pay attention to water control and spray more water. In addition, it is best to loosen the soil frequently, which will be more conducive to growth.

4. Fertilization

During the breeding management period, fertilization should be carried out frequently to supplement nutrients. Only by adding more fertilizer during the growing season can good growth be ensured. Fertilizer can be diluted liquid fertilizer, and be careful to use low concentration. In addition, it is also important to apply base fertilizer at the bottom when planting to ensure later growth.
